Grief Is Not a Phase. It's a Feature.

At some point someone told you that grief has stages. That it ends. That you move through it and come out the other side into something called "acceptance."

That's not wrong, exactly. But it leaves something out. For a lot of people — especially when the loss was sudden, violent, too young — grief doesn't end. It changes shape. It becomes something you build a life around rather than something you get over.

RMF isn't for people who are "getting over it." It's for people who decided they weren't going to get over it, and that's okay. That's actually a form of love that deserves respect.

Carry it. Don't put it down. Just find better ways to hold it.
